BB Torch, Sony Xperia, Dell Streak... who needs the iPhone anyways. And we had exclusive on it for just long enough for it to become just another contender. Our network is had become a beast, we're pacing to be the #1 customer base carrier again...it's over baby. Suck it VZW.

AT&T has always had the best phones on their network- they've had Sony Ericssons when Verizon had LG's or UTStarcoms. They had the Bold when VZW had the Storm, etc.

But the Torch, XPeria, and Streak are all landfill fodder next to the iPhone 4. Too Slow, Too Old, and Too Fat, respectively.

I am not the biggest fan of the Iphones but I got to admit, I am seriously confused why they would have two new phones coming out with Android 1.6 on them. One most likely not getting 2.2 and one suppose to get 2.2 by the end of the year.

Easy solution, put 2.1 or 2.2 on them. 1.6 is like using Win 7 and being told you have to rollback to Win ME.

blue,
One has to admit, until recently, the past 18 months or so, outside of the iPhone (love or hate it) AT&T has been slacking on good smartphones.

And who cares who's carrier you're on if you're content.

See now that is a complaint I don't really get....AT&T has more smartphones than any other carrier....and is the only carrier to offer smartphones of every single available platform.....Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Symbian, WebOS and Windows Mobile...

If any carrier has no smartphone variety it is VZW....you've got Android, Blackberry and....not much else.....

Are you serious? ATT taking the lead from VZW? 🤣

Check Consumer Reports this year and see whats up.

New phones or not...your network is still third rate and still sucks. I have never been so happy to get rid of AT&T and switch to a company that actually allows me to place and recieve calls when i want to.

Consumer Reports is in Verizon's pocket and always has been.....seriously CR's vendetta against AT&T goes back as far as the 1960's...

Consumer Reports has a long history of faking and manipulating data in order to 'get even' with companies they don't like, I don't know anybody takes that publication seriously, it is far from unbiased.

And as far as Verizon's 'lead' is concerned, it is paltry..only about 6 million subscribers....87 million to 93 million....statistically speaking that is pretty much dead even, and Verizon's lead is mostly the result of recent acquisition of smaller carriers rather than signing up new subscribers....AT&T became the #1 carrier in 3rd quarter 2003 (that's right, nearly 4 years BEFORE the iPhone) and stayed...
