Do you live in a different reality than the rest of us? RIM is the standard as far as I'm concerned.
Coming out with a touch-interface, slide out keyboard, borrowing from other mobile platforms features like multi-touch, push and hold for options...
I'd say Blackberry is no longer setting the standard, but trying to keep up with it.

No one builds hardware on par with RIM--and if you must have apps to turn on your TV, stick with Android and Apple.
