No Hotspot, No Tethering for Motorola Droid
I hate BS, why don't they just tell the truth?
BS: "It can't."
The Truth: "We don't want it to."
I can swallow the truth easier than a lie. Simply put, they don't want it to because that's a feature of the Droid X or the Incredible (upcoming anyway), and they want the new gear to have perceived increased value over the older stuff.
Just level with us, rather than insult our intelligence with a lame fib.
y cant verizon!
"all phones lose signals depend on how you hold it". hahahaha
Verizon Wireless holds their customers in contempt. Always have.
Some computers crash multiple times per day, other computers crash once a year.....simply saying 'all computers crash' is a lame response
'All phones lose signal' yes, but the problem is worse with the iPhone 4 than with any other smartphone currently in production.
There is a difference between crashing once a day and crashing once a year
And Apple new defense 'hey, our phones don't such any worse than anyone else's' doesn't cut it, especially when Apple frequently claims that their products have no problems and that everything 'just works' and they are leading the w...

All computers with hard drives are sensitive to magnets. A [theoretical] uproar happens because of you place a magnet on the corner of a Macbook pro it erases the hard drive.
Magnetgate goes all over the news when Consumer Reports confirms (after initially posting the Macbook Pro was the best laptop they'd ever used) that they were able to erase the hard drive by holding a magnet up to it, causing them to redact their recommendation and instead promote a laptop known for overheating and craptastic battery life. (after all even stapler bases are magnetic... and they're on my desk with the computer!) Apple shows videos showing if you take the same magnet and place it somewhere on a competitor's laptop...

why is all their garbage overpriced?
portable mini-speakers for ipod/iphone cost over 50$ just cus it got a fruit on it, where you can buy the same portable mini-speakers without fruit and it costs less than 10$ on walmart or radioshack!
apple laptop cost over 1000$ when you can get a laptop with windows with better specs and under 500$!
Stop defending carriers people. None of them care about anything except the bottom line.
Verizon Wireless thinks their customers are idiots. Their salesmen are so greasy I don't believe they need to use hair gel. Spelled out with the endless sea of second-rate handsets, the corporate UI "GET IT NOW!" , the use of BREW instead of J2ME, the crippling of Bluetooth and Memory Cards, etc. Any time Verizon Wireless acts differently, it's a trap.
AT&T has this old-phone-company mentality of screwing over their customers and acting like a monopoly. It does, however, have moments of clarity (like the iPad data arrangement and original iPhone plan) , but quickly gets shot down and embarrassed (network congestio...

Let's not give props to Verizon for their network. For years they have been leaders in network quality by independent reviewers. This garbage with the UI and bluetooth and memory card crippling is exactly that... garbage. A vast majority of customers prefer the uniform UI. Bluetooth hasn't been crippled in years and what exactly did they do that crippled the use of memory cards?
And while you're giving AT&T props about their innovative Ipad deal, where is that deal now? That's right, non existent. No more $30 plan for unlimi...

Honestly, who takes anything you say even remotely serious anymore. Do you ever have a no-biased thought. I'm pretty sure if there was a hole in your iphone to stick your ... (people can finish that as they wish).
I don't know if your inability to take what I write for its factual information is due to you being too lazy or you operating without a full box of crayons. I don't work for any major carrier or any handset maker, but I keep an active line on two carriers and sometimes a third.

Nowhere where I've lived. Frankly, I've never felt Verizon's netw...

Point B) I'm glad that your personal experience dictates a nationwide cell network for millions of people. You can deny independent studies as much as you want in lieu of your own "research." The point remains, Verizon is time and time again commended on it's network. And this doesn't mean I think AT&T's network is shotty at all. I think their network is substantial, but having worked for both carriers, I never saw the emphasis in their business plan on network th...

B) I'm honestly wary of any report claiming one carrier's network is measurably better than another's of similar volume. Just about every report omits some important criteria to draw up its conclusion.
C) Apple has loyal customers, but they built that by consistently building nice products and supporting them. RIM has similar loyalty (but it's been waning with the devolution of their products). If Apple built a Phone that performed with the level of crappiness of your average HTC product they'd have no loyalty.
