People that want Froyo 2.2 Already have it... Those that don't, is their choice... nice to see Verizon finally maybe, possibly trying to catch up with the rest of the Droid Users... lol

1) Most people don't want to void the warranty on their $800.00-before-subsidy cell phone.

2) Most Android users don't root their phones.

$800?!!!!!? Where the heck do you get that from?!!!!!? The retail cost of the Droid is I believe $569.

Incorrect information aside, I think we can all agree that this is by far the least hostile thing bluecoyote has said about android in a long while. Maybe he's learning.

Wasn't meant to be the literal price of the phone.

(The only one I know of that is actually close to that is the 32GB iPhone 4, which is an expensive piece of kit without a contract)
