Why Rev0? Why not 3G/4G that would be EPIC! 😁

It's only been cleared for Rev0 SO FAR. It probably will be cleared 3G/4G soon. It would be a waste of sprints time to only make it Rev0. Especially after all this push for 4G

I can still get on here but when I'm at work I only have access to phone-oriented topics, it kills me cause I miss talking to peeps like you man. Glad you checked out those other bands though. Sadly Isis just split up about a month ago, I think once they released Wavering Radiant they felt they had accomplished everything they set out for. At least that's my opinion because that album is absolutely amazing and their best effort imo. They have a video out for the song "20 Minutes/40 Years" which has a strong Tool feel to it, but the best song off the album was "Stone to Wake a Serpent", best song I've heard in years. 😎

think there's a chance of them just being on hiatus? I've only listened to Wavering Radiant in depth so far. It's the album that stood out to me the most when I listened through them all at first. I agree about them having a Tool feel on the some the soungs. I really like the song "Ghost Key", but "Stone to Wake a Serpent" is Epic without a doubt.

That's cool that they let you still have access to phone related stuff though, I'll just have to hang around these forums a little more often.

I hope they're just on haitus, there's only a handful of bands I can think of that are actually creating real music nowadays and they were a very big one. I honestly think they're done with new material, probably have some reunion shows from time to time since members are in other bands such as Red Sparowes, and Aaron Turner, the singer has his own record label to deal with. The guys will be fine but I will miss the music. All their albums are good though, Celestial, Oceanic, Panopticon, In the Absence of Truth, and if you're lucky you can find stuff off their first EP Mosquito Control. Also glad you liked "Ghost Key" cause it stuck out to me as well, I appreciate anything that's just out there like that, no other band would've written that ...

This is definitely a band I'll be listening to quite a bit in the future. I also really enjoy pelican. I've found that listening to pelican and reading is a good combination. Anytime I've tried to read before while listening to music, I find myself focusing on one or the other, but not both. But with the lack of vocals, it's much more relaxing.
I also just want to say that I appreciate you opening my doors to music like this. I had no idea it was out there, I've never heard of any of these bands, or anything like it. Tool is probably the closest thing. But they still don't compare.

Man that's awesome, I listen to Pelican when I'm relaxing or reading sometimes too. I don't mind them not having lyrics because there's so much going on in their songs that the lyrics would probably distract from the overall sound to be honest. They have one song off the new album What We All Come to Need called "Final Breath" that has guest vocals, but if you can find that album check out "Specks of Light". That song @#$%ing moves me man, true art right there. I've probably said this before but you seem like someone I'd have as a good friend man, I've tried showing Pelican to some of my lesser-liked friends and they act like it's nonsense because there are no vocals. People don't understand what music is about anymore, that's why I love ban...

I'll try to find it, the most reason album I have from them is "The Fire in our Throats..." So I was wondering if there was a more recent album. I'll definitely check it out. If there's a few other bands like this out there that you would recomend, you should let me know.

So what phone company do you work for again?

Work for VZW. And yeah you'd definately like the new album, it's really great, the opening song "Glimmer" is mindblowing as well, puts me in a good mood as soon as it kicks in. Other than Red Sparowes I can't think of a band that solely focuses on music like Pelican. I wish I could just burn you some cd's and send them to ya, lol!
