Do realize that this is a device/software issue and has even been confirmed by the manufacturer?

The customer doesn't have to care or even have to get it right. They don't even have to apologize if they get things wrong.

Business is tough.

So.... ?? You're saying what? That it's not AT&T's problem? They're under fire as it is with the Apple iPhone antenna and software issues and now this network issue. In today's cell phone market, it's all about maintaining the image of having the fastest network.

Clearly there is a problem when they're using bad equipment and releasing phones that haven't been properly tested first.
