That would be like Phillip Morris and Lorillard, makers of Marlboro and Newport to sue to keep the surgeon general's warning about the dangers of cigarettes off the packs. I know a few people who would ask about the radiation levels of a cell they were about to buy. CTIA looks guilty as sin by suing the city to hide the truth if you ask me.

they aren't trying to hide anything. Its public knowledge what the SAR level of devices are- heck most devices tell you in the owners manual.

They are upset because there is no proof that Apples iPhone 4's 1.17 SARS iPhone 4 is any less dangerous than the Droids 1.49 SARS

Besides its also based on usage- someone that talks on the iPhone 3000 minutes a month will get more radiation than someone that only uses the Droid for texting/internet.

I definately agree. However in the eyes of alot of consumers the CTIA looks like the bad guys in this lawsuit. Simply because the way that the law was written was that it was for the health of the consumer. So by suing over that law it makes it look like they are hiding something/putting consumers health in jeapordy to sell devices easier.

PS Totally agree with CTIA, to the fact that the FCC has made sure they are not dangerous, but it still looks bad.

Really all I have to say about this is Martin Cooper has been using cellular technology since well, since it was invented! Considering he's the one who invented it, and he's well into his 80s and he keeps on ticking, so however much radiation comes from cellphones it can't be that bad, Martin Cooper has been using cellular technology for damn near 40yrs!!!!

Plus with cellphones being digital now I understand they out off much less radiation than when they were analog.

Everyone does realize that the frequencies of radio waves which are used by cell phones have many of the same qualities as those frequencies of radio waves your microwave oven uses, right? And, among those qualities is the quality to cook food, or specifically meat! Although the power levels that phones emit are only a small fraction of the power levels used in microwave ovens, I would personally consider it nice to know the levels the phones are emitting. And, yes, those levels might influence my purchases of phones. One example would be, in the city with easy access to cell towers, why not go with the lowest possible emission levels and worry about my health. However, if I lived in a remote location I would have to accept higher levels and...
