The iphone4...
Already has a safety provision in place for this.
If you hold or touch it in anyway, it ceases all radio transmission thus making it extremely safe. Likely Steve Jobs kept this in mind. 😁
Sorry. Couldn't resist! 😲

Your logic is flawed... if the iPhone is "ceasing transmission", its because all that radio energy is being absorbed by YOU! and its transmitter is probably even jacking up the power to compensate, putting even MORE energy into you...
Therefore, it would be more accurate to have Jobs advertise the iPhone's additional "feature" -- a handheld microwave oven... to warm you hands up when it gets cold, but it may also re-arrange your DNA in the process...

LOL. I hear you.
I do find it ironic that one of the worst forms of radiation for the human body actually comes from the Medical Profession. X-rays!
Definitely up there in the top contenders of "Ionizing" radiation.
Cellphones emit very little radiation. And while more potent, Microwave ovens actually fall into the lower tier. "Non-ionizing"

And, among those qualities is the quality to cook food, or specifically meat! Although the power levels that phones emit are only a small fraction of the power levels used in microwave ovens, I would personally consider it nice to know the levels the phones are emitting. And, yes, those levels might influence my purchases of phones. One example would be, in the city with easy access to cell towers, why not go with the lowest possible emission levels and worry about my health. However, if I lived in a remote location I would have to accept higher levels and...
