I think it counts as news. Not "major" news but news because it's the first time a Blackberry will be available to a substantial number of customers. Their previous blackberry didn't have AWS so it didn't work in all markets such as New York City. Now with the 8530, all of Metro's customers will have a choice of a Blackberry. It's good thing.
Would be nice if they carried that Kyocera Android phone that came out a few months ago though.
