Palm Chief Says WebOS 2.0 On Target for Later This Year
WebOS?
Why is this news? When's Android 3.0 coming out?

is the OS that despite sitting for 6 months is still light years ahead of Android. 🤣
Now that's a pretentious claim if I ever heard one. Android may not be as polished and fine tuned but any idiot knows it's not going anywhere Blue. Have some common sense. WebOS is better than Android in certain aspects but it's dead and no one gives a hoot about it.
I checked out a Palm Pre before I picked up my Evo and WebOS was impressive indeed but the device was ugly and felt like cheap plastic in my hand. Palm is no longer relevant. They had their day. I owned a Treo before my Crackberry and was quite fond of their devices but it's over. Let them die already. HP can't and won't save them. HT...

It appears that you seem to so threatened by

I'm glad you and your Evo are able to be affectionate- too bad with its stamina it'll likely be ready to sleep by the end of the dinner. 🤣
Speaking of stamina, at least it beats being Jobs' bitch. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Let's be fair about this. Blue knows a lot so that claim is false. While I disagree with him about the messianic veneration of everything Apple, I give him credit with being an intelligent guy who knows a bit about the operating systems. He has a definite opinion, but so do we.
No I just think Blue is good at sounding like he knows what he's talking about. There is a difference believe it or not. All the so-called knowledge that he has can be readily found on the internet. Sometimes what he says is valid but a lot of it is fabricated because he has his own agenda. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Blue pulls the same crap on other forums as well and has been banned. Y...

If HP rectifies the hardware issue and retunes the marketing strategy, I believe a device running WebOS, will trump anything currently offered. It truly is well designed.
I absolutely love the Evo. While there remains some fragmentation in the OS, it is an awesome handset with a very powerful disposition. I feel my purchasing choice was a good one.

BTW, Italian food is always my dinner of choice when going out.
But that said, HP's the largest computer company in the world, and WebOS is likely going to pick up steam the minute it hits 2.0, especially when the tablets hit the market.
And remember all the progress Android made in its first year? None. WebOS sold more in its first year than Android. Just saying.
The only reason Android hasn't failed is because Google is spending serious cash making sure it's pushed (at VZW especially.) Every feature on Android is poorly done, from multitasking to copy+paste, even to the marketplace.
App quality is still pathetic and user experience is getting worse- you ca...

My complaints in a nutshell were HTC Sense slows the device down considerably (coming from a N1, forget any animated wallpapers unless you want a pocket warmer), the battery life wasn't good, the keyboard software is lousy, and the Sprint crapware brings out all of the worst flaws in Android.
Beyond that Android is still very unpolished as an OS when you dig deeper, and it's the little things: Copy+Paste is near useless, the fast-app switcher doesn't let you kill apps, and the way the "menu" function is handled drives me nuts. I wish the Android team would focus their efforts on things like these in...

You know what's funny. If windows 6 were just a little prettier and more stable it would probably still be my OS of choice. Then again who am I kidding, I'm kind of a phonewhore. I jump around a lot.

You know I don't mean to be an arse about the Evo, but I had a review unit on me for a day and found it to be a fairly miserable device.

5. If you have a 4 inch long thumb more power to you. I don't, and nobody else I know of does.

Holy crap. Didn't expect that. I agree.
You can complain all you want about the shoddy hardware, but the fact is that Palm makes great software and always has. Web OS is a good smartphone OS, natural, simple, intuitive.
Sad ☹️

What's that? Oh that's right.... Thats the OS Palm thought would kill iOS but couldn't even manage to make a dent on Android. 🤣 🤣 🤣 FAIL!!!

Fanboys.
If you'd even have used WebOS, you'd know it's a kick-ass mobile OS.
So just go away.
