Anyone in Rochester tried this yet?

How's it working? I'm considering an EVO, but not sure if the extra $10 is worth it. Also, one of the Sprint dealers said I could download an Android app to allow wireless tethering w/o needing to pay $30 for the Sprint Mobile Hotspot add-on. Does that sound right?

that sounds right but is not fully supported by sprint. if your phone is defective and they find that, then they'll say you've rooted the device and voided the warranty. it's kind of hard to proove but you know, just a little heads up.

I haven't been able to experience it yet as I am out of town until tonight. I had service in Henrietta this morning as I left. Speed was much faster! I understand they are still fine tuning the network. So it may continue to be spotty for a few days.

On a side note: I don't have a problem with the extra ten dollars. It is the fastest phone in Sprint's arsenal and being able to have the front facing camera for Video Chat is well worth it. Even with the extra ten, I'm saving a ton of cash on my plan. Just my opinion.

John.
