companies that do this. Isn't there some law that says if they arent actively using their technology they lose the right to sue companies who are trying to be productive with it?? If not there should be. Doesn't seem like "wait to sue" should be a legitimate business model.

No there is no such law. You are confusing a patent with a trademark. A trademark holder can lose the trademark if they don't use it.

I hope your wrong. I got a patent on shoes that can withstand speeds up to 100 mph, so as soon as evolution catches up I'm gonna be rich!

lol well I hate to be the one to break this to you...but unless we evolve to be able to live a 1000 years first, I don't think that patent will do you any good.
