Ok So I have the Moment and would not get this phone for the mere fact that its pretty much the same actually not as good WHY??? did they not include a flash on the camera like the Moment has which works great and is a bright camera flash what a dumb move! To me the few minor tweaks they did to it do not offset this. Too bad for people wanting a midrange phone they should put flashes and decent ones on all of these type phones. When my upgrade comes due it wont be to this.

At this point, yea the Moment is a better value because its a better phone plus its cheaper w/contract being over six months since its release.
Im assuming this is the 2010 line up alternative to the Epic for those who arent a power user and dont want to pay the extra $10 for the 4g.
The Moment does have its flaws like the signal lock ups, crap battery life, and no extended battery available. Hopefully these issues are taken care of with this phone.

I doubt that it is intended to be an upgrade. Samsung's strategy seems to be a good, better, best or even a better, best strategy. They are releasing your phone soon, the Epic.
We have many customers who would jump on the Android bandwagon in a heartbeat but hate Android phone pricing. So they are waiting for a more affordable option. This may be it.
Look for a more complete lineup of Android phones in the near future.

this is supposed to be the upgrade of the moment due to the fact that the moment cant get the new android froyo updates.

This phone seems like a downgrade to me especially after playing around with it today at work. It feels cheaper and the screen is more narrow. Also the MSRP is only $350 when the MSRP was between the $430 to $480 range.

thats not good if it seems like a upgrade but as i stated to others. whats the point of getting this device when you can just wait to get the evo when it is in stock.

Ya but that doesn't offset the other drawbacks with it at least to me. Ill get the Epic or whatever else is better for now im happy with my Moment for a while. I just must have a flash on the camera and the Moments is good shame they took it off. I also read something abt the rev speed being slower or something on this phone oh well I just don't think it's much of a replacement for the Moment they should have done better.
