NTT DoCoMo to Sell All Phones Unlocked

This is exactly how I've tried to explain it to my dad, who's contract is up with Sprint this month and will be switching to T-Mobile... you can always get a discounted phone and pay $59.99/mo for unlimited talk and be under contract, or you can pay for the phone at full price and go non-contract for $49.99/mo. If the phone is less than $240, which all the T-mobile phone-first devices are, then you're saving money that way. Moreso with the smartphones... If the smartphone is less than $480 at full price, you're better off paying for it in full...
