Has a point...but...

Now I'm an Apple Fanboy and although it is true that holding any phone a certain way will kill reception (I remember seeing it on cellphones when I'd unwrap them for customers showing them how to hold the phone and not block the antenna. But I just don't feel right about how it was explained. Telling people to not hold the bottom of the phone just doesn't seem like it's a great consumer friendly solution...

But other than that, the phone is epic!

Yep. It's the same with my Incredible. I have yet to drop a call with it. How many iPhone users can say that? 🤣

Sorry but he has no point. It's a phone. When you design something that millions of people will be wrapping their grubby little hands around its beyond stupid to expect those same people to hold the phone the same way in order to use it.

I think its awesome! You go on out, pay 300$$ for this awesome 'phone' and you cant even make or take a call on it, because your hand can kill reception. PURE EFFING GENIOUS!

You know, the E63 has the antenna at the bottom of the phone.

All phones have an issue if you hold it directly at the bottom as the report says, but most other phones will not cause call drops or whatever else RF issues unless you're in a really poor RF situation. Even three years ago when bottom antennas were first being deployed, this was never an issue for LG/Samsung/Nokia/Motorola and pretty much everyone else under the sun.

I've heard that ATT dropped a lot of their requirements and quality standard for the iPhone. Most phones would get dropped out of the lineup for an issue like this, but I guess it's a different story with the iPhone.

I take that back. Looks like this is a minor issue based on the actual article.

That being said, it still seems like bad press consider what the iFans can be like.
