sorry to be a bother...but how does the rokr e2's feel, weight, a size compare to the e1? do the feel simular? how are the "outter" specs in comparison.

with all the added features the rokr e2 is making me think its going to be as heavy as my se s710a. is it or not?

It has a good feel to it. It's a good size and weight, IMO.

There is a side-by-side shot of it next to the E1 in the article:

The E1 was a reasonably small phone, and the E2 is mostly smaller.

well since we don't know what music software will get loaded in the new rokr, i can't speak to the difference between that and the s710a's cruddy barely-a-media-player. However i can say that physically the e2 is both smaller (mostly thinner) than the s710 and weighs less. or at least it feels that way. however it will be tough for that tiny CMOS on the e2 to beat the amazing ccd camera in the S710.

thanks for the info eric. you are correct about the s710's media-player. the w600i's walkman setup is way better but the phones itself seems like its a kid phone. i cant see me doing business and whipping out that tiny phone espically if its orange but thats not that big of a deal. but my girlfriend loves the w600.

i'm trying to decide what i want to do, purchase me another s710, wait for the rokr e2, that sony 810, or purchase a nokia 6682. these are the only phones that i find have features that i need that don't look kiddy like.

i mean no offense to the w600 because the w600i is a nice phone. and i have toted it around with me a few times but its just not me.

I could be wrong but my guess would be on the E2. I hated the E1. They have brought me nothing but trouble. However, I think the radio plus the 2Gb chip it will hold will be very nice, at least for Cingular. I don't know about other carriers. The W600 does have a black cover, ya know? But, I do agree, I don't think the W600 is that great. It's hardly an upgrade to the E1, just works better. The 6682 is someone who wants everything, but its not really that easy to use. The 810 may be something to look for though? Compare the 810 to the E2, nothing else will compare...I'm sure.

😁 i most definatly will. i have toy'd with the 6682. i find it easy since i am used to the aching symbian setup.

you are correct the e1 did suck. but it did have some cool features.

as far as the w600 i like but am NOT impressed. its fun but still not business.

Now, don't get me wrong... the E1 sucks but it is a cool phone. The SLVR has the same stuff as the E1, with iTunes and same storage capacity and everything. If you want a phone sooner than the E2 or 810, it will be out pretty soon. This quarter I believe?

The SLVR is the E2 for Cingular. So the only phone to be looking at is either that one or the 810 which is coming out in May or June according to an Ericsson official rep. Oh, and the E1 is end-of-life.

I don't know exactly how they compare with feel, weight, and size but I can guarantee you it won't be much different from the E1.
