on those new phones, there's no mention of video-calling.I wonder will we have that feature even on that HSDPA samsung?I was looking forward so much for that feature on Cingular just like on other European carriers.Anyone knows if the phones support it?

No, I don't think Cingular has any plans to support video calling on their network or phones - at least not this year. It's not a very practical feature, really.

Internally, we were told that "eventually" we'll have it. They told us that it really hasn't caught on in Europe, so the extra expense on 2 cameras plus the bandwidth isn't really worth it at this time.

If I had to guess, there'll be some kind of feature on top of MEdia Net at some point and a couple of more expensive 2 camera phones at some point a bit later on.

DARN, it would be so nice to have video calling just liek in ASIA and Europe...BUT again, i am very impressed that Cingular has beat up almost everyone here in the states...
Some may think it is not usefull to have video calling, but again, i could also say it is POINTLESS to watch video on a 4 inch screen ;)
