I am actually very interested to see how the phone does with its version of multitasking. If the the phone will still be speedy and keep its battery life. My phone just finished the update...

My first experiments with multitasking have been a complete fail. All I want to do (initially) is continue to listen to Pandora while texting or reading email and stuff.
Pandora closes when switching to other apps. Upon checking back on the Apple update page, multitasking is available with apps designed to work with OS 4. Apparently this means that nothing we have so far is going to be able to multitask until they all develop upgrades.
This proved to be correct with Pandora, but of course the iPod worked just fine, the same as BEFORE all this hype. Admittedly I haven't tried other apps, but Pandora closes when opening messaging, mail and Safari. I think thats a pretty good test.
At the moment, I am cautiously glad that I was unable...
