AT&T Really does Suck
AT&T is the worst for pre orders:
I went in late here at the local store in Arizona and they told me that because I have 2 lines both iPhones I can only upgrade 1 of them and if I wanted to upgrade the 2nd someone else would have to come in...WTF!!!
There under my NAME no one else's. Than they preceded to tell me that they can not take debit cards that it has to be an actual credit card. POS...of course they started to give me this lame excuse about how other people have tried selling the phones and how credit card debited the account and than reauthorized once its actually shipped; and that some people have taken the money out of there accounts only to have the charge declined...as I said to the clerk...do I look like everyone else? Of co...

Last year people complained because of the debit transactions where some banks actually held the funds the day of. With credit the funds arent held. The credit card is checked for enough funds then on the day its shipped the card will be ran again and the money debited. Guess you cant win.

LoL you cant win either way with them...Im beginning to think there making up rules as they go along... 🙄

Actually it was customers that ruined that. Initially, AT&T did take debit cards. what happened was that people forgot that the the money wasn't actually taken out yet, spent the money, the card was declined and because you can't force a charge on a debit like you can with a credit card, the order would drop out of the system as it wasn't paid for and customers would come in mad saying "you lost my iPhone" when actually they spent the iPhone money on something else and don't keep at least a couple hundo in the bank at all times.
Hope that clears some things up.
