I'm probably never going to own one of these things now. I AM impressed at the fact that NOTHING stops Apple from selling these things. NOT AT&T's network deficiencies. NOT AT&T's data plan changes and NOT iphone haters constant ridicule of iphone owners as sheep. The thing just keeps on selling like hot cakes. Unbelievable!

AT&T's "Network Deficiencies" are mostly a load of bull crap. Outside of NYC and SF I've never experienced truly terrible AT&T service in a major city, and especially in the Southern cities I've had far more problems with CDMA-based carriers.
(not that their network is perfect and not that improvement shouldn't be in order, but to hear Sprint customers whine about AT&T service is a load of crap.)

I agree. During the time I was with ATT, the voice & data wasn't bad, it wasn't perfect. But it was as horrible as a lot make it out to be.

No, AT&T's network has been bad in a couple parts of the country. NYC especially, but elsewhere it's actually pretty solid, and extremely fast.
