I want to see if they stuck with TI for the CPU or if they went with qualcomm

Cause Rumors point to a 1ghz processor.. and a TI would be INSANE

I've always love Texas Instruments, they stay on the cutting edge of EVERYTHING.

When do you think they will announce this mythical 2GHZ processor, and who will make it?

Gosh dude! I can't even imagine what kind of a beast smartphones are going to be when I'm ready to upgrade, which isn't until 11/11.

I'm just afraid these carriers are killing these unlimited plans and are being *EXTREMELY* stingy with data. The 200mb's & 2gb's ATT is offering is essentially *nothing*. Those new data plans render smartphones useless, IMO.

They are not forcing existing customers to change their data plans, however. Talk about a strong churn buster. I know EXACTLY how that is. I am on a grandfathered data plan with VZW and it has kept me for three years.

yeah... the "we finally have tethering! but you need to switch plans to get it!" was kinda a low blow.. considering the feature was announced a year ago

Like the difference between an amd processor and a pentium 4 back in the day. TI processors typically have lower clock speeds, but are better at handling data.

Pentiums had higher clock speed (on average) but weren't as efficient as AMD chips, meaning that a 1.2ghz AMD chip could keep up with a 2.0ghz Pentium chip as far as raw computing goes.

A good example is the Droid processor. It's "only" 550mhz compared to a snapdragon, but the speed difference isn't anywhere CLOSE to that. that 550 processor can do 60-70% of what a snapdragon can do, while running at a lower speed (thus consuming less energy). With 2.2, that's even CLOSER to what a n1 can do with 2.2

So if TI made a 1ghz processor, it would be MUCH quicker at processing d...
