It's only logical that a cell carrier who is second place in worst cell phone signal would attempt anything before filing bankruptcy.

While I can't comment on Tmobile's financial situation, the number of subscribers has nothing to do with whether the company goes into bankruptcy. If each customer cost them $1, it means they're losing 33 million dollars.

It comes down to whether it's costing more to attract and retain subscribers than they make off of them.

i don't think it's losing that much money to become bankrupt. sprint is...

t-mo's problem is just the customers' slow growth. they need more array of phones and stop aiming for the youth market now. i admit the phones they offer suck but my n900 and me is happy under t-mo...

if t-mo europe is just as aggressive as vodafone of verizon, i believe that t-mo usa can crush at&t at sprint to get on the 2nd spot...

Tmobile USA lost 77k subs the first quarter of this year compared to 415k additions this time last year.

But it still increased its operating income to $1.39 billion from $1.38 billion because of strong smartphone adoption amongst its subscribers.

I wouldn't exactly count them out yet.

That's the most asinine comment I've read in a long time. Do you even use T-Mobile? Obviously not since you have no concept of the quality/reliability of this network. T-Mobile is not the little guy anymore, their service rivals that of VZW. For sales and wireless experience. Jeyeeeeeeeeeaaaaaa boiiiiii!!!!

Actually I see nothing wrong with Tmobile. My sister had tmobile, and where ever she was at my house she never got service. My house if off the water and they said that's why. So I added her to my verizon account and signal was perfect.

When ever my bro comes over he has to use my cell phone to make calls, and I'm in a metro area.

So I agree, it's a last attempt to get customers. I've always looked at tmobile as a teen company for parents that are willing to sign the contract. Plus what the **** does customer satisfaction have to do with anything. That just means current customers are happy. That have nothing to do with the negative pickup of the company. The question is are they profiting enough to stay on board and they answer is ...

Just about everything... are you serious? "overall satisfaction" = satisfaction in ALL of the areas including, and not limited to; billing, customer service, coverage area, price etc...

119 billion in profit

Verizon

T-Mobile
92 BILLION IN PROFIT FOR 2009

Sprint:

Profit = how much you have left over after expenses

Also, I'd like to point out and apologize, I quoted 2008 final numbers, I'm looking for 2009... (I have to use my phone to look things up, phonescoop is all I have at work.)


also, you can google the facts pretty easily, not being rude, just saying. My point was simply that T-Mobile is nowhere near being bankrupt!
