8GB 3GS??
Yeah I was caught by that as well.
Interesting, downgrade the 3GS to 8GB. Its a never before offered hard drive version. I've never seen a manufacturer go backwards before, but leave it up to apple.

pretty sure it's just a typo, and these prices don't match what they told us at consumer care ... who knows?? 😕

oh really, thats interesting. what prices did they send in your email, us authorized dealers didn't get anything yet. .... well after walmart offered the 3gs 16GB for 99, radio shack did the same last week. It seems that prices are fracturing and being offered differently at different places. This is a switch for apple as they tightly control pricing. We didn't get the iphone for 3 years because of apple's control.

we didn't get the pricing for the new phones yet but it says the 16GB 3GS is $149 and the 32GB 3GS is $199, which isn't that big of a deal, however the email states these are "incredibly low closeout pricing" hahaha
...
that's what is in our grid too.

Not that big of a deal?
16GB 3GS at $149 (down from $199) is a 25% reduction.
32GB 3GS at $199 (down from $299) is a 33$ reduction.
Looks like a pretty hefty drop in the price!

The 8 gig iPhone is being upgraded to the 3GS. Fail to see how you consider this to be a downgrade. Or are you just a glass half-emoty kind of guy, who also sees the black cloud instead of the silver lining?
