I've got an iPhone and love it. I'm looking forward to the announcement of the new one, but don't think for one minute that iChat will work right away. The iPhone is notorious for having features that AT&T won't let work right away...MMS and tethering anyone? To think that they would let iChat work right away is hopefull at best.

i see your point. i have 3gs and would like to see ichat. however i think att doesnt allow that stuff right away because they arent sure the impact it will have on their network. if i were them i wouldnt want a repeat of the network fiasco they had in the past so i think it is wise for them to hold off until they are sure they can handle it.

Why does Apple not build efficiencies into their devices? The problem is not AT&T, they have way more 3G bandwidth than anyone else. But the iPhone does not even attempt to be network friendly. They don't think it is their problem. They are perfectly willing to throw their carrier partner under the bus.
Design a device that does not assume that the network exists only for it. But that is not the Apple way.

We sell both the EVO and the iPhone. EVO is superior to the iPhone. We made the iPhone a 4G device by using WIFI to connect it to the EVO using Clear at about 6MBPS.

iphone 4 can only use video chat through wifi, unlike Evo, which can use it on the road through carrier's network. BTW now people can say, APPLE coppied Android, haha Android came out with it first! tables have turned stupid sheep

How are you laughing, when the phone or the feature is not out? Android is laughing at you because you have nothing to keep up with the Evo at this time. Android is laughing at you as we finish up eating the rest of Apple.
