We need 2.2
What is Samsung thinking???
2.2 Froyo is about to be released, what the HELL Samsung still releases 1.6?????
It's better to stay away from Samsung smartphones.

If the g1 can run eclair just fine with all its bells and whistles (rooted of course), then there no excuse why a phone with higher specs cant and wont. So it seems to be really all about making you buy another phone and staying in contract. This may lead more people to lean towards for Moto and HTC for android because of the better support from the manufacturer.

You should do your research before you make a statement that is factually incorrect. Like the thread says 2.1 is rooted on the G1 (and lacking), this is because the hardware will not support anything more. HELLO!!!! The Behold II has the SAME hardware in a more attractive package, THEREFORE Samsung cannot update it to 2.1 or Froyo you Dumb Dumbs. The same 528MHz processor (in a prettier package) that is in the G1 is also in the Behold II look it up, then you will not look as uninformed as you actually are.
GEEZ!!!! All you had to do was pull the phone up on the site you are talking on....PHONESCOOP.com

No need for name calling. My G1 is and has been running 2.1 for months with live wallpapers and all that and it handles it just fine. Im not sure, but i think the Behold2 has both more RAM and ROM than the G (not gonna bother checking cause i dont really care), so if Samsung wanted it to it can handle 2.1. The speed of the processor is irrelevant in this matter (HTC Hero with the 512 is getting 2.1 if it hasnt been rolled out already), I have an old htc wizard that was designed to run WM 5 running 6.5 w/touchflo just fine also.

It is the processor that matters. And you are not running an official 2.1 upgrade you are running a ROM, that does not have all of the TRUE 2.1 capabilities.

You got me there, although HTC is a better company for android.
