This isn't useless.

This is a tie in with their Chrome addon.

Basically, if you are viewing a page on your computer and have to leave, you press a button and it pushes the website to your phone and pops up your browser.

Or you can create a driving plan in google maps on your PC, hit a button, and it will open navigation on your phone and set up the route there.

I don't have any either! My younger brother is an artist, he designed one in high school that I've been conteplating for 13 years. (oh my goodness i'm old!!)

I designed one in college that I've been thinking about ever since. Ultimately, I think I'm just too much of a wus! I'm in enough pain every day, why would I intentionally inflict more? 😉

You know, a little green android wouldn't make for a bad tattoo... but that takes a back seat on my priority list to a Superman 'S' and the mohawk-baseball from Major League. 😁

Dude, I'm thinking about boycotting PS, BGR, and Engadget the day the next Iphone is announced. Iphone fanatics are too polarizing and extreme. Where as when a new high end Android smartphone is announced, well, we're more level headed.

Whatever I'm doing that day maybe I'll just bring an issue of Wired magazine with me. I'll read the Iphone headlines later when the forums cool down.

Good idea, Jay. I've never understood the whole "if it's apple it must be the best" mindset.

I'm not trying to knock them - they've had more than their share of innovative and brilliant products. I'm just sick to death of the iPhone.

Dude, check it out, Google is rumored to be ditching Windows, isn't this exciting?!!!!!? That's one thing I like about the smartphone world, Microsoft doesn't rule the world when it comes to smartphones, maybe someday that'll change with reguards to laptops & desktops.

But if you read the article, what I don't understand is Google seems to be more concerned about desktop pcs than laptops.

It's interesting.. and as long as they don't try attacking google (or any other company that has maps online) I don't see the issue with it.

Kinda how I think talking+driving should be. They shouldn't pull you over for talking on your phone, but if you were using a non-handsfree set, there should be an additional penalty if you were speeding/got into an accident, etc.

basically. Yes, there are some issues, but I think handset makers learned from their past mistakes when it came to hardware. Remember, android is still really new. I think in a year or two people are going to be asking "what fragmentation."

True, after Gingerbread things will smooth out.

So ? for you, are there others like me that are fed up with the fact that this is June 1st and ATTs only Android option still remains thay retarded deformed Backflip? Has anybody come to where you work to port their ATT # over to Vzn for the Droid because of lack of Android on ATT? Frinkin June 1st already, I gave up waiting almost 10wks ago.

not too many. Then again, I do live kinda in the middle of nowhere.

Interviewing for a manager position at a warehouse tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'll most likely move back home, closer to philly. More jobs to choose from there.

Warehouse? Your a wireless dude! Not a warehouse person!
My sister used to be an inventory boss at a huge supermarket distribution center call Bizzutto's, huge as in 110 receiving bays, they service Shaws and Stop & Shop and so on.

When I'm finished paying off my credit card I want !!out!! of security. Security is just too, too boring & anti-social of a job, no co-workers, security isn't even a real job, I just stand around and hang out and make sure I don't fall asleep, and chat w/u on PS!

I have a part time job atm. This new job would require me to move to a higher rent area, and doesn't promise (base) that much more than I am making now.

So some job is better than no job, but with the job I'm at now, I'm barely scraping by. That job would be higher risk (I make less per hour base) though the commission potential is there.

You should move to Las Vegas! Your a late night person, this is a late night sort of place! And the wireless market here is very vibrant lots of potential for someone like yourself.

I've considered moving west (SLC, not LV though) but I really like the east coast.

Hopeing to find something nicer closer to philly.

Is it bad that I actually WANT a 9-5 job?

Umm, where's SLC?

And no of course it's not bad that you want a 9-5 job, that's normal. I prefer the east coast also, but it's very expensive there.

SLC is Salt Lake City.

I have a few friends who moved out there. They said a lot of tech companies are moving into the area and the cost of living is decent.

One thing I really want to do is try and network with people again. At my old job, I was working so much I never got to really meet people in my area, and with the new job, I don't really have Bar cash, you know? I can get a cheap one bedroom from a relative back home, at least until I can get my feet on the ground again.

Talking about cheap! My rent is only $200/mo!!! Incl utilities btw. I'm making major sacrifices to rid myself of debt, and give myself a fresh start in life.

Really the only time I find myself @ a bar is to shoot pool. I looove playing pool. I started playing @ the Boys & Girls Club when I was 10.

The cost of living is very affordable in LV also, I can get a studio apt for $425-$450.

Yeah, but to move out there, I would need a job lined up.

I kinda made a mistake of getting an apartment up here too fast because of my former job and it's really not good for my needs (though pretty cheap)

I don't want to rush to a new location/job again.

Looking at nevada jobs right now.. most seem to require an instate license.. weird.
...
Jayshmay

Jun 2, 2010, 3:28 PM
When you say in state license, are you talking about state driver's license/ID? Yeah, that is strange! I wonder if it has to do with unemployment in LV being 14.2% and they only want to hire people that live here to bring the unemployment down, Idk, just a though.

Where exactly were you looking?

Well, with reguards to crime, generally speaking its not that bad with the exception of northeast Las Vegas.

Me being from back east I'm a very cnservative/contemporary/ mild sort of person, and a lot girls here are wild, tatted up, lots of piercings, so me being a small town Ct guy I have trouble meeting a female.

I certainly don't intend to grow old here that's for sure!
There are a lot of easteners here though, NYers, Bostolnians, Chicagoans.

Menno is short for mennonite.

I used to play Warcraft and had a toon called Mennoknight (lol, I know) the guild leader couldn't pronounce my name, he said it like mE-no-knight, so I shortened the name to Menno.

When I started posting on forums and stuff, I used the name and I just kinda stuck

My username comes from a nickname this blackguy Art gave me way, way back in 1999 when I was working at my first full time job @ Burlington Coat Factory.

But back home, my nickname is Homer, cause my last name is Holm, and this guy Shawn in my neighborhood would call me Homer.
