I'm surprised anybody is surprised. VZW has always found new ways to rip people off for years.
I think that with LTE VZW will see a LOT of people leaving just because prices are gonna be cheaper elsewhere, while having the same equipment (phones and dongles that all use LTE).

Wimax, at the frequency it is at, will only really be effective in densly populated areas. Tmobile doesn't have the available spectrum to really expand their network.
