Your Article is WRONG!

Why can't news/media outlets ever do research? I know you guys are just re-posting someone elses article, but it is WRONG!

I Wireless has had the Nexus One at select retail locations since early April. As well, I Wireless doesn't sell T-Mobile, I Wireless is its own carrier separate from T-Mobile. They have a network partnership, and non-comp agreement with T-Mobile, much like MANY other local owned and operated T-Mobile affiliates in the US.

What is hilarious, it SAYS this at the bottom of the press release that is being quoted, and if you CHECKED their web site, as I did, it is easy to see this.

We are the tech media, and we don't care about doing our job.

Who's reposting?

According to i wireless, "Customers will be able to purchase Android devices, including models that are 3G capable, at over 250 retail locations or at the i wireless website beginning May 18, 2010." Nothing published by i wireless says that the Nexus One was available before that date.

This statement: "i wireless is a T-Mobile affiliate, and is offering the Nexus One for $300 after rebate with a new contract." is 100% accurate. The i wireless web sites says in big letters at the top "T-Mobile Affiliate."

Regardless of i wireless' relationship with Iowa Network Services and T-Mobile, nothing is inaccurate about our reporting.

🙄

Nothing in it says that they just started offering the Nexus One either. Also, your link to engadget's article, holds the claim that I Wireless sells T-Mobile plans, which is not true. Also, you said so yourself in your article, but have since edited it out to "look good".

Way to go phonescoop! you guys used to be better than that. Now you don't answer questions in the "discuss" tab of your in-depth articles, you don't fact check, and then edit articles, act like you did nothing wrong, and still GET IT WRONG even after editing.

Stupid ? For you Eric, what's the difference between an "affiliate", and an MVNO?

I Wireless isn't a MVNO either. It is a carrier all its own that owns its own towers in Iowa, and is licensed by the FCC. The affiliation with T-Mobile is a partial ownership by T-Mobile USA and partnership for nation wide roaming on T-Mobile network, as well in turn T-Mobile is allowed to roam on the I Wireless network. I Wireless also has roaming partnerships with AT&T and various other smaller regional carriers similar to I Wireless... in essence, look at US Cellular, but apply that model to a single state instead of region.

They are separate companies. I Wireless doesn't sell or service T-Mobile customers, and vice versa. As well, where you find T-Mobile stores, you will not find I Wireless, and vice versa.
