but I'm concerned how long it will last.. It has three buttons, but they don't look like the right ones for WINMO7

I'm not a fan of windows mobile, but I know a ton of people who swear by it. I'm just glad I don't sell them anymore. Explaining to people why a (from the looks of it) perfectly capable phone isn't able to upgrade to Winmo7 because it has the wrong buttons. :/

There is good reason to not want Windows Phone 7. I'm fine with 6.5, and once my apps that run only on 6.5 migrate I will migrate as well, but until then...

WinMo 6.5.3 is incredibly polished. I'd just stick with it, too. And when you have to upgrade, you do. Pretty simple.

Not sure. I'd imagine it's up to the carrier/Microsoft deciding which phones are worthy. Just like Android.
