As far as I can tell...
This update seems to be for press preview units only (although other sites have sent word of a non-ota copy that is circulating the net and able to be installed on consumer handsets) and not for the general masses, then again, maybe they've broadened their push, who knows? All I want to know is when this is going to be converted to droid compatible.

Yeah!!! Droid 2.2!!! I really do wonder how Vzn is going to deal with this wireless tethering. It can't possibly be that easy and simple. Menno seeems to think it's not going to be that long, but I'm not getting my hopes up for this happening in a timely fashion.
I'm glad Google finally enabled the saving of apps to sd though!!! That will make it easier for developers to make far more sophisticated apps & games.

There is actually an app already out that you can tether with. PDA Net is the app. I use it all the time and no extra charge or anything. The only difference with 2.2 is that it will be official, not a 3rd party app.

I tried pdanet. I don't know what I did wrong! And yes, I went to the Junefabrics website and d/l the drivers, and checkmarked usd debugging. And it still failed to connect, really frustrating!

There are some pages the I can't connect to like facebook sometimes, but it loads search engines and other sites no problem. Haven't figured out the Bluetooth DUN yet as I have a mac. Working on it though. 🙂
