Are you insinuating that the United States Government is incapable of organizing and running things efficiently, like a Navy, Army, Air Force, or Marine Corps?

So you're familiar with the concepts of hurry up and wait and Semper Gumby. And let's not forget $8 flat washers(same ones at home depot for 2 cents) that take 2 months to arrive through the supply system..

The governement is the pinnacle of efficiency.

And as far as cell phones for the poor, they already exist. I think they run through sprint's network.

Hurry up and wait is tried and true. Semper Gumby is only true to a certain extent. Junior Marines have to be flexible but once you have a rocker or two, the flexibility seems to go away. Put shiny stuff on your collar and you become very rigid.

Sprint does supply plenty of "less advantaged" customers with service, as does T-Mobile. But both do still expect some payment, and it seems that is just asking too much.
