Smart to go with LTE
Sprint would be smart to go forward with LTE allowing for greater roaming and data agreements.

WIMAX is easily upgradable or should I say convertable to LTE with software upgrades/changes. Sprint is way ahead of the curve for tomorrows technology.

There are two LTE standards, LTE 700Mhz and 800Mhz (GSM family). Verizon will use 700Mhz, At&t will use 700Mhz and 800Mhz. The standard Sprint and Clear are interested in is LTE-Advanced, 2.5Ghz, due to the Ghz band LTE-A is compatible with Wimax.

Yes Scorpio you are absolutely correct. Sprint once their network coverage improves as well(whenever that is), major contender they will be. 😉

It will be a very, very long phase out of technologies. They won't cut off legacy technology that fast.
