I'm curious on how Verizon is making these claims to have all of these LTE phones out before they even have an LTE network. Its kinda hard to believe manufaturers will be able to produce these types of phones in such a short amount of time.

Can't really have a network without the phones..

Can't have a phone without the network.

They are working both ends.

It's gotta start somewhere.

I hate procrastinaters, and procrastinating is definetly something that Vzn can't be accused of. They are moving @ a very steady pace.

Really?? Not procrastinating?? Because reality is, Sprint has had 4G (xohm) in markets as early as 2007. Here we are 3 YRS later and VZW is starting to talk big?? 🙄

That doesn't count for much. Kinda like looking at Stalin and saying "well hey at least he's not Hitler"

Perhaps they are doing a lot more work on the LTE network than we are aware of.

If they're planning to be deployed in 30 markets by the end of the year, they're probably doing a lot of work as we speak. From what I've read, they plan on turning all 30 on at once, so how much is actually complete is probably hard to tell.

yeah see so i think if they were worried about just getting it out there Boston would be opened up in a month or so. i think they're trying to go for a big foot print very fast.

they've been conducting test of the LTE network for months in certian locations, the network for the most part is going up quickly......the next few months will be working out kinks and finishing up the actual deploment. As far as the phones, everything is based on specs, and phone makes have had the specs for about a year now. i'm sure as things change Verizon is letting the makers know.
