Radioshack does the same gift card "reserve" AND is giving away $20 in accessories. And yes, every preorder is getting theirs on release day.

So giving customers the option of transferring all of your contacts, setting up your email and blue tooth headset, downloading helpful free apps, walking you through step-by-step processes on the phone (like how to access the internet, download afore mentioned apps yourself and make phone calls) for free is "sending you out the door without any help?"
Oh, and also, Best Buy is the only retailer out of the three you mentioned that doesn't make commission on the sale. Therefore, it is the only place you can go to and get a real impartial opinion on which phone would be best suited for your needs. That doesn't mean you are not going to find great people working at a Sprint ...
