Guess they'll have to stop claiming only their network can do it! 😁

Well until recently TMobile's 3G data wasn't much to talk about, but an accurate point.

Well, Tmo does have HSPA+, that's something to talk about. More than can be said for ATT. But they still have that evil measly 5gb data limit.

Exactly what I just said, yes HSPA+ is something to talk about but this is something they have just recently upgraded. I hope both Sprint and TMobile do well and I think we see that they are both making efforts to change that.

I really hope the Evo steals Iphone customers away from ATT, just like the Droid stole me away from ATT. Whenever ATT gets a new phone it's been out on the market a long while. Anyway, I hope the Evo catches on like wildfire!!!

They'll just say "We don't charge you an extra $10.00 for the privilege"

🤣

Besides, they don't say that because T-Mobile already supports voice + data.
🤣 🤣

And by the time they get a sizable footprint, chances are they'll be switching over to LTE
🤣 🤣 🤣

Great INFO on Wimax vs. LTE -----
by DE 2 Philly Monday, 12:21 PM

Wimax and LTE are not competing against each other. There is no winner/loser. They are not made to destroy each other. Wimax is going nowhere. Ultimately wimax will have more coverage. Why? Because cities will use wimax for everything from parking meters to free wimax. Cable companies will use it as last mile of service. Walmart will use it for connections from store to store. Every corporation will use it to replace wifi and a wimax phone will be able to use all those towers for free. That is the wonderful thing about wimax. The standard says any app, any device, and any founding carrier. LTE is only a cellphone standard, only going to be used by cellphones. Comparing the...

I'm not rooting for one technology over the other and welcome more than one technology, but it's suspicious ClearWire is already talking about joining the LTE party. I think the reason given in what you're typing is BS. I think they're saying that to cover their butts for their investors.

I don't know how accurate the numbers are and the last two paragraphs make me question the author's intelligence, especially since he doesn't know the difference between vertically integrated (Apple), closed, proprietary, and purpose built. If he spent time researching his topic he would've compared it to Windows, as the iPhone OS isn't licensed.

Second off, theoretically blimps could have WiMax antennae on them (hey, they COULD'VE!) ...

The reason Google is interested in moving Android along is because that puts Google services in the hands of more people.

Still, WiMax is available to the public now. My area is getting it this summer. I will be all over it whether its nay sayers give it negative opinions or not. No one else currently has this offering and I will gladly employ part of my paycheck to obtain this ground breaking achievement. WiMax as received mostly very positive results and revues since launching. This is welcomed news considering months ago many were skeptical. I just don't get the hate from people when in fact, WiMax and LTE are almost identical. They both operate of the same technologies and are compatible with one another.

AT&T never stated that only they could do it, just that Verizon couldn't, which they cannot. T-Mobile has been able to do it since it launched 3G.
