Risky Business

I read this yesterday and the comments sections suggested that this device could actually be used to skim. Hope I'm not using the term skim incorrectly. Basically this device could be used for scams, and this isn't the first of its kind to hit the scene.
You're using it correctly. I got skimmed myself a few years ago, and if that's the case with this handset, every Burger King punk will be able to steal your credit card information.
Sweet!

They will need far more than just your card number, it is 2010, they will need the security number off of the back and expiration date. This is not simply a swipe and go process, there can steps to take. Besides it is your job to watch your info. BE SMART, if more people were scams would not be as easy as they are.
Everyone should be smart regarding their credit/debit cards. But if you hand it to Generic Fast Food Punk at a drive through window and he's out of your sight for 7 seconds, that's enough time to swipe it.
Nobody's perfect.
