FCC Mulling 'Bill Shock' Warning System

I think this is a brilliant idea. It's a service that the cell carriers would roll out to alert people about over-use. Why would you be opposed to it?
While people should be responsible for their own bill, so many end up running huge bills accidentally or because their kids use data.
At least come up with a good argument against it other than finding something completely irrelavent to blame Obama for.
The fact of the matter is many customers are not educated enough at the point of purchase. Just because you and I understand this system doesn't mean everyone will.
I think it is a good customer friendly policy. I don't believe we need legislation but if carriers do not offer it maybe they can be exposed and the embarrasment could encourage them.
More importantly, this isn't the government getting further involved in our lives. This would be a valid form of regulation over the telecom industry.
We all understand how the billing system works. But you'd be amazed at the number of people that end up with large bills and don't know where they come from. I'm just thankful that Sprint caps data charges at $75.00, which prevents some of the insanity. That doesn't help with the 75 year old lady that decided to use her cell phone instead of her home phone, and didn't...
