That's how I originally remember it. . .

I don't know where all these theories/rumors came from, it's as if everybody forgot it was a 5yr contract. Besides there's nothing special about the Iphone, my Droid does multitouch, and if I need to, I can *actually* change out a spare battery!

Things special about the iPhone:

1) Stability
2) Speed
3) Upgrade Path
4) Application Quality
5) Support

And if your Droid does multitouch how come you can't hold down the shift key and type a letter? 😲

Dude, all these phones can do the same thing. The question is which delivers it the way YOU want it. The iPhone isn't going to please everyone just like the Droid won't...

I agree with Bluecoyote.

Android is stable.

Umm, where does this can't hold down the shift key and type a letter stuff come from? Are you referring to on screen keyboards? You should know me well enough to know that I'm anti all touch phones, and that I use the *physical*, *real*, *slideout* keyboard far, far more than the on screen keyboard.

That'd be fine if the Droid's slide-out keyboard wasn't so damn terrible, but it is. 🤣

The virtual keyboard on the iPhone absolutely trounces it.

And no, Android is not what I'd call stable by iPhone, webOS, or Blackberry (Storm excluded) standards especially after a few months of ownership.

I have no problems @ all with my Droids *real* keyboard.
Is there something specific you can point out that is supposedly unstable about Android? You said especially if I've had it for a couple months, I got mine 3/23, haven't had it for a full 2 months yet.

"Absolutely" leaves no room for discussion. No room for personal preference. No room for personal experiences outside of his own.

The iphone is *THE BEST*. No arguments. no dissusion. No personal opinion matters. Just that fact.

Who cares about numbers? Who cares that the iPhone is stale? Who cares that *YOU* think the physical keypad trounces all touch?

YOU are obviously wrong.

Don't feed the troll. He feeds on your tears.

Neither is objective. They are two sides of the same coin. bluecoyote is the iphone-phile who tears down every other device or OS and Jay is the iphone hater who throws his two cents on every article about Verizon getting the iphone with "Android is better" or "Why would anyone want an iphone when they can have a Droid?" etc...

I've had a laundry list of issues with the N1, including hanging, lag, apps that don't run, and glitchy button responses.

The defining moment was the alarm clock going on the fritz. I can officially say that with almost 3 years of iPhone ownership, I've never had the alarm clock not work or not shut off.

I can say the same thing about my 2 winmo phones. They have never crashed, glitched or shut down on me. I don't remember the last dropped call I have had. I loan my Samsung to people to use AT&T's network in rural areas when their iPhone cannot make a call or send a text.
And the bonus is that since I use windows at work and at home I already know how to use it and my word/Excel and powerpoint work flawlessly.
