I am from cust care and I have confidential info about the EVO i cannot provide much information but this is no right because there is going to be a big surprize when EVO comes out and for many cust a plan change would change there mind about EVO and cust will need nore options than EVO, Hero or Moment...

Umm, this is a *confidential* forum, nobody know who you really are, that's why we have usernames. It's ok to say confidential things on here, you won't get in trouble cause it can't be traced back to you.

well let me give you a little of info on what in a training we were told the BIG surprise would be that they are creating new plans for this equipment and the hotspot service will also requier and aditional add-on we don´t have info on the price of the plans that are going to be created but the problem would be if you want the EVO you need a plan change so if you â™Â¥loveâ™Â¥ your plan this phone would not be for you ☹️

Ah, I'm not too surprised. It is 4G. Which is *true* wireless broadband. So it's worth it. Not too sure how people with the current plans will react though, hopefully they will understand that it's worth it.

i tot u have something new, even people who are smart enough knows this would require additional fees because of the 4G radio and as jay said the "mifi" capability also, in fact verizon charges a $40 addon for this feature alone, so no surprises there, plus your from care, so dont worry about it, its gonna be our problem here in sales 👀 😲 🤭 😢

I've been hearing talk of a new plan requirement for the 4g for weeks now. Its not much of a shock.

It'll still be a better value than you can get with *another* carrier

Saying a plan change to a bunch of customer care people doesn't mean much. Just like the 3G vs the 4G/3G are "different" plans, it doesn't effect the cost of the plan. I'm sure there will be different soc codes for phones with WiMax capability vs standard everything data plans.

As far as the hotspot being an add-on, I think we were already prepared for that.
