AT&T: Palm Pre Plus Launches May 16 for $150

Big Red can't even give it away for $49! AT&T thinks people will choose a Palm Pre Plus for $149 after annoying mail-in rebates which take forever to process over an iPhone 3GS refurb at $149 instantly?? You gotta be efin kidding me. Hell, I'm no fan of Apple's but I'd choose an iPhone 3G refurb for $49 over a stupid Palm Pixi any day! It's a no brainer

How did we voice our displeasure of something before the term "fail" became so popular?
Some people for different reasons do not want an iPhone. Some people for different reasons would rather not purchase refurbished (aka used) phones. Some people for different reasons enjoy the multitasking capability of a specific phone.
I agree that the $150 is a bit high when you consider Verizon is selling essentially the same phone for less. I like that it is including the touchstone charger. Mail in rebates are a sad reality these days, but, what is nice is that by the time you forget about them is when they show up so it's like found money.

I used to work in a dealer store for att and trust me man theres ALOT of ppl who are still using their Treo's and told me they were gonna wait it out til att got a new palm cuz they thought the centros sucked

Since when was a phone priced at $150 a big deal to people? Remember when the first Iphone came out at $399? Nobody cared, they still wanted it. Phones are cheaper then they use to be and do alot more now. Back in the days when new phones came out they ran around 299 with mail in rebates. So shouldn't we stop saying "$150 is a bit high". If it is a bit high then just get a free one.
