Clearwire/Sprint will most likely choose between WiMax 2 or LTE-Advanced. They are not giving up on WiMax just yet, but rather playing it smart and not giving up on LTE either. TD-LTE is another option that both companies reached out for, which is another easier transition.

Another thing I forgot to add but if I had to choose between LTE-Advanced and WiMax 2, I'm picking WiMax 2. WiMax is beyond mobile, it's going to be used everywhere.

Yes, but if they're looking for roaming partners they'll have trouble when voice eventually gets transitioned to LTE. Admittedly, that's quite a ways off.

Don't think wimax will be used everywhere....since the whole world is pushing to LTE.

Once again, the WHOLE world is NOT pushing for LTE - as a matter of fact, WiMAX is in use in a number of countries worldwide as of right now! However, I believe the point was that LTE is a mobile only technology whereas WiMAX has other uses including wireless base service giving up to 100mbps. There are many other uses for wireless services other than cell phone sales & usage!

Exactly diggity. I thought my last line was clear, but apparently not. Government, Businesses, Parking Meters, Ambulance trucks, Schools, Terminals, etc. WiMax is beyond mobile.

Yeah, I've heard of refridgeraters and even cars eventually having wimax builtin.
