All I have to say is come on already!! I guess I was hoping for a miracle that it would be today. I can understand if they want all the bugs worked out but really this long. Are we even really going to get it??? Sprint's own people say May & they are going to have alot of angry customers if not which is the last thing they need! I have been really satisfied being back with them so far except for waiting on this.

I read somewhere that this update may not be an OTA update due to the size of each file...80MB for the Moment and 117MB for the Hero. So Sprints options are either create a desktop update system or use Googles servers, which has not been tested and to do so will push back the release date.

I don't get it. We are only 3 days into May and people are this impatient? There are 4 months in a quarter. So the way I see it, is it could be 4 weeks down the road when it is released for "2Q" and still be considered early 2Q.

All due respect, I am just a customer but find it a little insensitive of people picking Sprint apart for this. Sprint has made tremendous improvements and applaud any realization of issues with pushing the upgrade.

Did you not buy the Moment without 2.1? If so, then the upgrade will be welcome regardless of whether it comes today or within the next 4 weeks as this is not what you originally got with your handset.. Personally I hate carriers that push upgrades too fast. Palm is somewhat proof. They released a...

You are right and I agree with your points and I am enjoying being back with them to etc. But this they really seem to be dragging there feet on. It is kinda like they cant keep up with verizon etc and they really should be able to. I mean they keep pushing back the date they need to be clear and concise if there is a problem its almost kike there teasing the customers they cant expect the evo 4g phone is going to solve all there probs and they will have alot of angry customers which is the last thing they need if they dont move on this update already

Not a matter of keeping up with Verizon. I've got the Eris and I'm getting reeeeally impatient waiting on the 2.1 upgrade which, depending on which rumor you believe, may or may not ever even happen. At least sprint is apparently committed to the upgrade, we just don't know when.

Just for the record, there are 3 only months in a quarter. April is the first month or early part of the quarter, May is mid quarter, and June is late quarter. So technically, Sprint is late, like usual. I just wish they would for once learn from their inability to predict anything they release. It just makes them look incompetent. I’ve been with Sprint for over 10 years with no plans on leaving but they just prove you get what you pay for… I’m very happy with my Moment now and can’t wait for the 2.1 upgrade. It will probably be released 1 week before 3.0 gets released on another network…
