Wow, so Apple releases one phone, and yes I say just one phone but Motorola has released several flagship devices and are available on all carriers even unlocked devices but Apple come out as #1 ? Pretty strong koolaid if you ask me or a false news article. Apple must be paying people in high places to keep these news articles flowing.

I admit that the iPhone is pretty cool, I have an iPod Touch so I have an idea of how it works and I have friends that have one too but this is a bit overrated.

As for the "one phone" release comment. The reason I say they released just one phone is because the iPhone hasn't changed except for a few tweaks. From the first device to the latest the only changes has been slight. Even the Motorola RAZR ...

The iPhone is better than any of Motorola's flagship smartphones.

Have you used the iPhone?

I'm no koolaid drinker but until Win7 phone is released, it is the best device out there.

Plus I have had bad luck with Moto devices.

I've played around with my friends iPhones and I agree they are nice. It has lots of cool features. I have the Droid which is also nice and just as good, if not better, than the iPhone. But they both aren't perfect and I think opinions makes a phone.

No matter who is larger it'll be the same battle as Verizon vs. AT&T. They will both be the top 2 going neck and neck. I see that Android vs Apple will be the same thing. Windows and Blackberry are good arguments too but they're the equivalant of Sprint and T-Mobile, big but not as big.

The point I was trying to make is that Apple created a really good device but too many are dwelling on it. When is the next device coming out, and I mean a TRUE new device. Why won't Apple make sl...

I hope to Christ that they continue forward and innovate. I'm all for competition to allow these companies to make better products. When companies compete for our dollars, we win by getting a better product.

Agreed. My Blackberry has vastly improved in terms of features since the iPhone came out. To me it was the best device out there (for my needs) upon every iteration of the iPhone, but the iPhone did push them to make improvements faster.

Oh, and not all credit can go to Apple... All phone makers out there helped this movement.

Now, I'm just waiting for this Apple vs Google Maps (Android) battle to start so Google releases turn-by-turn on the Blackberry 🙂

Blackberry is bigger than iPhone... by a whipping 2 million units this quarter. On top of the already massive BB customer base.

Blackberry's trump card is the most impressive Push Email that throws emails as they come in to the handset, instead of the handset checking directly with the mail server every xty minutes, which is a battery eater in every other smartphone.

I agree. put the iPhone on all other carriers in the US and it will die the death the razor had(2-3yrs to happen). Moms and grandmoms have the phone now because of ease of use. Put one in more hands it becomes a "meh" phone and consumers will want something unique. The iPhone will no longer have the prestige and elite standing.
