I thought it was a good article, but have two comments.

1. You recommended 3 Blackberry phones. Does this mean that you guys feel that the pending injunction from NTP is a non-threat?

Great job on the article. Covered everything from the pre-paid and basic phones, to high end phones. My only thoughts, nothing was mentioned about Sprint iDEN although iDEN was atleast mentioned by the presence of Boost Mobile. 7100i from Nextel would have been a great addition especially since its so sleek and has a gorgeous screen. Maybe some information on services like EV-DO (VCast and Power Vision) and ReadyLink/Direct Connect. Other than that, BRAVO. Two thumbs up.

P.S. LOL on the street cred. 🙂

djdelay, while i do suspect that rim will be hit with a big fine in the final ruling, i also believe that an injunction temporary or permanent, is unlikely. i weighed that when recommending these phones.

despite this week's rulings and statements a junction seems too bold a move, even for a judge tired of a never-ending case. rim service is mission critical for too many huge, important organizations, including the US government. i can't honestly see a district judge inviting the wrath of so many people, including powerful white house and congressional staff.

in addition, more than half of ntp's original patents have been struck down, and another seems to have fallen today, leaving just 6 left for the USPTO to rule on. the judge will ha...
