InnocentEd, I agree with you completely. There's nothing wrong with paying someone to sell your product...it's called a business investment. If Google weren't worth it, then the carriers wouldn't be selling them, and customers wouldn't be buying them.

Good grief, Phonescoop, you talk like no one else has a shot if they don't have the means to barter for business. It was an entirely new mobile OS...the carriers and vendors needed some security in agreeing to launch it. It's simple economics, not evil wireless conspiracies.
