I am a developer for Microsoft in the Gaming Division, nee XBOX LIVE and this is BS.

The Win7 architecture will not operate from a removable memory platform, this is true, but external SD slots will be supported for functions such as camera storage, Music & videos.

While the verbage in the post was correct, the technology described is not.

(PS) It is the Gaming Division that is developing the Win7Mo platform btw, albeit I'm not on that team.

The point is that microSD cards will not be replaceable. Users can't pull them out and put in a different one. Yes, WP7 will actually support the technology behind the cards and allow users to store media there, but users won't be able to upgrade their storage.

I can't believe they actually said this.

"...but Microsoft says most users, including Office users, don't really need clipboard functionality."

Yeah Jayshmay, they're really going out of their way provide a "dumb" OS on a smartphone. WinMo has always been the advanced user's OS, apparently the advanced user only accounts for a tiny segment of the market.
