Have you played games on a Pre? Many of the good games are ports from the iPhone, works great, and Unreal 3 is only going to swing the door open wider for great gaming options on WebOS.

You want to know why Unreal 3 is on WebOS? Because the PDK Palm developed made it easy to do so. It's brilliant, Palm is at GDC showing people how fast you can move your iPhone app to WebOS. Palm does all the groundwork, giving developers a low overhead way to get their apps in front of a few more million eyeballs. The big boys (EA, Gameloft, etc) wouldn't have jumped over if it wasn't so easy otherwise. Palm doesn't have the marketshare to attract the big developers if it meant totally revamping their code. Same story with Unreal 3.

Give Android some time. With that new SDK Google released I'm sure there will be some cool 3D games coming to 2.0 and newer Android smartphones. You'll see.

People do everything on phones! I haven't owned an alarm clock in over 8yrs because guess what, my cell phone is an alarm clock. Nor have I ever owned an mp3 player, and in the past 4yrs I haven't owned a cd player, cause guess what, my cell phone plays mp3 AND has an FM radio. The cell phone is an everything device!

Eventually people will be using their cell phones to beam movies onto walls, it's called a pico projector.

I even use my cell phone as a wifi hotspot to connect my laptop to the internet.

My point is the cell phone is an *everything* device. And yes, including games.

Exactly. Five years ago you'd find me with a PDA, phone, and MP3 player (or cd player) anytime I left home. Now I just have the phone, and it performs all of the functions just as well as the previous devices did, if not better.

Some people actually *use* their phones.
