Personally I don't have a clue what the big deal about social networks like FB & Myspace. Isn't email good enough???

well im not going to lie i love status updates because i can keep in touch with my family. i dont really care about photos, but really i talk to my brother and his family either through facebook or xbox live. but why do i need to know his location? or anyone on facebook?

I just don't understand what the difference is between facebook and emailing, what's the benefit communication wise of using facebook over email?

With FB, someone can announce something to every one of their friends, without having to send an individual email to everyone. It's just more convenient to see what's happening with a lot of people.

You can also send one email to multiple people, I do it ocassionaly.

and related. Twitter is crap. But Linkdin is a great site for career networking.
