Will help Sprint in the long run

Sorry to say guys, but this is a win/win situation here. I worked at Sprint for 11 months before changing jobs and coming to T-Mobile. While I was at Sprint, I've never seen a customer who decided to activate service for the sole purpose of extra NFL material. Nor has a customer decided that this was a main reason they wanted service.

The NFL is not a cash cow for cell phone service in regards to Sprint. Sprint's advertising hasn't been as agressive as Verizon's. Verizon's agressive style of marketing will benefit from an exclusive deal with the NFL. The two biggest complaints I hear about Verizon is that it costs too much and that their phones are too boring. This eliminates the latter of the two.

I applaud the move rather than raising rates or charging extra for it. It is a nice app, but frankly, I find it ok at best and would not pay extra for it. It doesn't show Live features as one would assume. If I can literally "Watch" it as I can on TV, I would find this a great loss and a bad move. But you can't. Most diehard football fans will undoubtedly find and place themselves in front of a TV anyway. I say let ...
