apple patent no: 100132

Popularity - any system that gets mass approval must have the apple logo and give apple royalties.

If this thing takes off apple's new legal approach will go into motion.

Well, I just got called into work on my day off, so that means a few more pennies on top of my few dollars lol. And I have another Nokia N95 on the way that I should recieve next Tue or Wed. The one had wasn't working properly, Opera Mini wouldn't launch nor would Joikuspot which lets me use my phone as a wifi hotspot that's a valuable feature to me cause I can get away with the $15 internet on my N95, so value wise I get a lot more out of it than other phones.

And btw, I know you live in Tx cause we've both been on Phone Scoop a long time. This October will be 5yrs on Phone Scoop for me!

You pioneer new touchscreen input methods and you get a patent.

What a country!

More like taking a bunch of stuff that already exist and putting them together in a pretty package. That's always been Apple's business model.

They've been taking ideas from others from the beginning.

care to give examples of patents Apple has been guilty of "stealing"?

last I checked Ford was the first (mass producing) car company yet look at all the companies that copied, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, GEO, Nissan and many many more.

The Wright brothers were the first to make a plane yet I think Boeing copied/stole that idea.

In 1928 GE created the worlds first Television- tell that to Sony, Viseo or Samsung.

all you are saying is that Apple stole the idea of the cellphone... Well so did HTC, Nokia, Motorola, Dell, HP and the dozens of other cellphone companies out there. so prove that Apple stole proprietary to a competitor.

Calm down Apple fan.
People are sarcastic towards Apple because their history has been to litigate competition away. So if that is your reputation then even if your lawsuits are legitimate they will be looked at as frivolous. Take away Apple's legal department and I don't believe they would have survived the 1990's.

What litigation in the 90's are you referring to? Apple lost a lot of litigation in the 90's- the MS Antitrust issue was centered around Netscape and AOL.
